I've been watching YouTube videos, reading articles, and watching posts in different forums ever since I formed Stonecastle Publications 2 years ago. The resounding theme that I've heard about "Author success" is having a team.
A team consists of an Editor, illustrator, copy editor, agent, publisher and marketer. As an indie author I was doing all of it and the team leader, the writer-moi`, was lagging behind in the most important part; writing!
Now I have a team that consists of 2 editors, cover designers from Facebook and Fiverr, publisher is Amazon or CreateSpace, and marketing I'm using Facebook, Instagram, or Amazon. As far as promoting my books I'm on several sites, author communities, and blogs.
